Glen Gardner hosted a new open mic this past Thursday at the American Italian Club. I hadn’t been to open mic in a bit and thought I would try it out. What a crowd and what a group of talented performers! I performed “Summer of ’69” by Bryan Adams with a newly created backing track from Wally Damrick, my uncle and also “Turn the Page” by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band sans backing track. I had a blast and the crowd seemed to love it. My friend Sandy got up to dance during the first tune…the highest compliment in my book…means it moved her…LOL!
