On my way to Nashville…

Hello everybody! My day started out well and got to Phoenix Sky Harbor on time with even some time to listen to the latest podcast just sent out by the Extreme Tour for the Objective Sessions 2024.

Flight went well but when I got to DFW airport, I realized I was in unfamiliar territory. I was in terminal A and needed to get to C. A fellow passenger said it was no problem…just go up the stairs to the SkyTrain and you just go to terminal C. Great, or so I thought… When I got to the SkyTrain, it was not running or out of order and everyone was in a bit of a panic, not the least of whom was ME!!! I saw a cool guy who I thought must be also going to Nashville and he said he knew how to get across the airport quickly. I followed him on some quite spongy feeling people movers and got there 20 minutes before boarding. Awesome…just enough time to eat something…ugh…long lines…so went to Baskin Robbins and had an ice cream cone…was soooo good.

Flight to Nashville went quickly, with a rep from a swag bag company for golfers who also was a Christian and knew the guys from NEED TO BREATHE! So cool…we chatted on the way and it was nice to talk about music and life. He was about my son’s age and we hit it off great. He even told his friend on the phone that he was sitting next to LISA LYNCH and sent the Spotify link for my music to her. She said…WAIT, are you in first class?!?!? He said no, but she is right here…so funny. Never had that happen to me before. Told him all about my music, what I was going to be doing in Nashville, and what I have done with my music so far. Great times…great times…

When I got to Nashville, I met up with my friend Debbie and we got the rental car and headed to our resting spot…an awesome, furnished, queen suite apartment. We got unpacked and headed out to find some great food. We headed straight to the Assembly Food Hall in downtown Nashville. SOOOO many choices…

Debbie chose the Pharmacy Burger and I, of course, had to go with Prince’s for their famous Nashville Hot Chicken. MAN was it hot!!! Hung out for a bit and headed to the Urban Market to pick up a few “essentials” for the apartment…you know, eggs, candy, bread, creamer, donuts…

I am really looking forward to getting into the thick of this Objective 24 and hearing the other artists perform. Registration is tomorrow and I can barely wait until then. Guess I will have to have a sweet treat and get some sleep…the next several days are gonna be intense and SOOOOO good.

Until tomorrow…keep it real, keep it cool, and keep on keeping on.
