THE STREET LIGHT CURFEW BAND !!!

So, we have had a couple gigs and are really jelling as a band. We just played at Pho Cao and really rocked the crowd. Great stage, great music, and just an awesome venue! I got to sing some of my tunes out from behind the keys this time. It is such a great feeling and quite the rush to just sing those power rock ballads to the crowd. I was definitely in my element! Shan Jam Crane was our hostess and was amazing to work with. She was our sound tech and got us hooked up to the house board with ease. We had to adjust our set up due to space but it really worked out well. There are a couple duets that Dave and I sing and this made it even easier to look at each other while we were singing. The staff was great and the food was amazing! They were out of the coconut ice cream and the deep fried bananas but encouraged us to order early next time….we certainly will!

Our next gig was at Edelweiss Biergarten… we were not sure what to expect with the stage set-up but soon found our bearings and set up our gear for an awesome time! We got to play two hours of amazing 80s music and the crowd was ALL FOR IT! Even during sound check, they started to sing along. The staff was great and very accommodating, bringing us water when we needed it. We introduced ourselves and invited the crowd to take one of our cool stickers that has our website on it ( thestreetlightcurfewband.com ) and several came up for thier sticker. My favorite thing was a young family had three kiddos and they came up tentatively for a sticker. I saw them stopped playing and handed them each a sticker. Their face lit up and the parents were pretty stoked. So many great comments from the crowd like…”we are going to start following you to each gig and not because we are stalkers or anything…we just love what you guys are doing”… ” how long have you been a band because you have such chemistry and look like you are having a blast”…”where can we see you next”… We LOVE this because it is all about the crowd having fun and enjoying what we are doing. When I say, “jump on the 80s party bus with us” I really mean it. It is a party everytime we play. Even the servers said that our crowd was so easy to serve because they were having the best time and loving the music. Makes it all worthwhile…
