THIS TIME’S FOREVER drops next week on 09.18.26. This 80s rock inspired original has been a long time coming! I have been writing Christian music for several years now and started to write some easy folk and pop songs. However, I have always wanted to write a rock song. As I sat down and asked myself what themes and what chord progression it should have, I thought about what would Joan or Pat do? That is what I wrote about.
THIS TIME’S FOREVER is a song about betrayal, desperately wanting to make up for lost time, and thinking that this time will be different, if “you’d just give me one more chance”. The song uses different synth patterns and sounds to make the song pop like it’s ripped from the 80s pop charts. The lead guitar screams with riffs that echo back to a rockin time…the time of my teenage years. The bass rocks and supports the whole theme, swimming in the undercurrent of the song. The drums move and shake in just the right spots with serious crash just at the right time.
Special shout out to: Tim Coughlin, who helped me record the scratch track and also the drums for this project (and a special rockin outro suggestion)…Ryan McKay, who really brought it with the electric guitar work…Jerry Gray, who rocked the drums and really drove the song…Bryan Kuban, who made the bass sing (which is not easy to do) during the whole song and who helped me every step of the way with his expert production and guidance on the rockin outro, giving it a “Voices Carry” sound. And last but NOT least, my husband Mike, who is my rock and an amazing support. He encourages me to chase my dreams when it comes to music. LOVE YOU!
I am so excited to share this song with you! Here is the cover for the new single!

You can buy or stream this single wherever you get your music…it will be on all the major music platforms, like Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, TikTok, and YouTube just to name a few starting 09.18.26!
An extra thank you to my band Street Light Curfew thestreetlightcurfewband.com …you guys listened through the whole process and gave me your feedback. You rock the 80s with me each week at band practice and a gig each week. You really are my 80s family and because I am so immersed in this genre every week, I was inspired to write one of my own. THANK YOU, Dave Manley, Adam Nudo, and Joe Barker!
